ABOUT US


The Macro and Green Finance Lab (MGF Lab) is a think tank based at the National School of Development (NSD) at Peking University (PKU). The Lab is dedicated to conducting policy and market research in the areas of macro-finance, climate policy, and sustainable finance. Its goal is to become a world-class think tank in these fields, providing high-level policy research results and recommendations to governments and regulatory authorities, while actively promoting practical innovation and international exchange and cooperation in related areas.


The Lab is co-directed by Dr. Ma Jun and Prof. Huang Zhuo. Dr. Ma Jun holds the position of Director of the Green Finance Professional Committee of the China Society of Finance and serves as the President of the Institute of Finance and Sustainability. Prof. Huang Zhuo is the Deputy Dean of NSD, the Dean of the BiMBA Business School at NSD, and the Deputy Dean of the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development. Additionally, Dr. He Xiaobei, the Deputy Director of the Lab, is a Research Fellow at NSD.


The Lab’s recent research areas include: macroeconomics and financial stability; climate finance and blended finance instruments; climate policies and their implications for trade; transition finance; and carbon pricing mechanism.
